The wealthy brother and sister, John and Lydia Morris, willed their Chestnut Hill estate to the University of Pennsylvania in 1932. That makes it an accredited, knowledge-based museum of horticulture. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the arboretum offers a display garden, organic sculptures, outdoor minature railway and bird watching classes.
