In spring, 2009, the Curtis Institute of Music and The Rock School for Dance education collaborated on a new ballet, "Five Phases of Spring." We meet Curtis Composer Wang Jie and Rock School choreographer Marialena Ruiz as they take us through the creative process, which they say took inspiration from the classic partnership of composer Igor Stravinsky and choreographer George Balanchine.
