A student/faculty recital featuring Francaix's "Divertissement for Bassoon & Strings." Jean Francaix embodied the French artistic ideals of urbanity, wit and joie de vivre, unmistakable attributes of his music. Also, Schubert's Trio No.1 in B-flat major, D. 898. This substantial and beautiful work was Schubert's only composition in this vein; completed in 1828, the year of his death.
