On behalf of Siete and my family Were so honored to be here today and incredibly humbled to be receiving this award in the presence of so many talented and inspiring people.
Thank you, to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation for recognizing our family.
It has been the adventure of a lifetime building our business together.
We started Siete over nine years ago as a family wanting to solve a problem and share our favorite heritage-inspired foods with more people.
But the truth is, this journey started many generations ago.
We share this stage with generations of ancestors who paved the way for us to be here today.
Their dreams opened up doors, inspired us and eventually led us right here Our great-grandparents sacrificed so much to journey to this country in search of a better life.
Our grandparents dedicated their lives to supporting their families and advocating for the Latino community.
My Grandpa Campos: a World War II veteran and a civil rights activist.
[Audience applause] My Grandma Campos: an educator, mother and the best cook.
[Audience applause] And actually, her abuela approval of my almond flour tortillas gave me the confidence to build Siete.
[Audience applause] My parents: supporters and partners throughout this entire journey.
My siblings: we've had each other's backs through every stage of life and all of our partners, family members and friends who rooted for us from the very beginning.
They truly paved the way for us.
Also, a special thank you to our Siete team who have genuinely become family Without each and every one of you, we would not be standing here.
[Audience applause] I have felt firsthand how important it is for Latino communities and communities of color to see themselves represented in every field and every industry, not only during Hispanic Heritage Month, but every day, year-round.
[Audience applause] All of our stories, talents and achievements matter and have the power to inspire the future Latino community.
Just like those who came before us inspired who we are today.
Juntos inspiramos.
Together, we inspire.
Thank you.
[Audience applause]
