- Elevator buttons, ready?
- [Tibitz] Elevator buttons are colorful, shiny, and activated.
Ready.
- Banana peeler, ready?
(creature humming) - [Tibitz] Peeling bananas, ready.
(creature muttering) - Pep talk, ready?
- [Tibitz] Pep talk, today is a great day to help others.
- Wow!
"Today is a great day to help others."
That sounds amazing!
I'm ready for the day!

(distant metal crashing) What was that?
Whoa!
(distant metal crashing) Ugh, gee whiz.
(Albie startled shouting) (distant metal crashing) Hey, this isn't a banana peel.
It's a hat!
Cool!
Or maybe it's a, a bowl for the biggest ice cream sundae.
Or maybe, if I hold it up to my ear, I can hear the ocean.
(background seagulls calling) (background waves crashing) Or, or, or maybe it's a UFO from outer space.
Beep boop, beep boop.
We come in peace.
(Albie mechanical imitative vocalizing) (distant elevator bell chiming) Oop!
(upbeat background melody trilling) - Hey, Albie.
Floor 23, ple... Whoa!
Cool hat!
- It's not a hat, it's a UFO!
(distant Jay gasping) Spin like this.
(friends mechanical imitative warbling) (friends chuckling) - Hey, can I try?
- Oh, yeah.
Here is your... - This be me pirate ship steering wheel.
- Yar!
- Hoist the Jolly Roger, and bring the ship about!
- Ahoy, Captain Jay!
- [Jay] Argh!
- Who knows what other treasures I will find in the elevator today.
- Wait, you found this?
You mean this isn't your hat?
- I found it on me elevator!
Finders keepers.
Pirate rules, matey.
Argh... - [Jay] Albie, one of our neighbors might be really missing this hat.
- But, but I found it!
And we already came up with so many fun games to play.
- Oh.
Imagine if you lost something special to you.
- You mean like, if I lost my yo-yo with Loretta's face printed on it?
(creature chirping) - [Jay] Exactly.
How would you feel if you lost it, and I found it?
Does that mean this is my yo-yo now?
- No.
- If I played with it, and imagined it was an alien snail with a string of doom,... does that make it my yo-yo?
- No!
No, I mean, no, it's, it's still my yo-yo.
- [Jay] So, how would you feel if that happened?
- I would be so sad.
I'd do anything to get my favorite Loretta yo-yo back.
- One of our neighbors might be feeling that way right now.
We could help them.
(creature humming) - We need to get this hat back on the right head!
- Neighbors helping neighbors!
- But how do we find the head for this hat?
What do we do?
- I think I might know someone who can help.
(Albie excited gasping) Elevator operator Albie, could you please push that button?
- You got it!
- Ha!
- Destination, find the head for the hat.
(Albie exerted grunting) (background machinery whirring) - [Tibitz] Jolly mode activated, Albie!
(upbeat background tune riffing) (Loretta melodic droning) - [Computer] Location locked on.
(upbeat background melody riffing) - [Tibitz] Gravity flipper flipping.
- [Friends] Flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip, flip.
Flip!
- [Computer] Powering down, down, down, down, down.
- [Tibitz] We have arrived.
(upbeat background melody trilling) (distant elevator bell chiming) - Oh, hi there.
- Hi!
- Hello, this is Albie, and I'm Jay.
Albie found this hat in the elevator.
- I want to find the owner, but I don't know how.
- Well, when I wanna get a message out, I like to make a poster.
Want to see what I mean?
- [Friends] Yes!
- When I drew the design for this poster, I wanted to tell people, "Today is a great day to help your neighbors."
So I drew it in big letters across the bottom.
I wanna spread this message all across town.
So, um, I'm gonna do something called screen printing, so I can make as many copies as I want.
The first step to screen printing is covering the screen in a pink chemical called photo emulsion.
Let me show you.
(background drum beats rolling) (screen scraping) Once it's dry, I take this see-through paper and put it under my screen.
Then I shine a bright purple light onto it, which turns the drawing into a stencil.
(distant machine whirring) (hose spraying) Finally, we're ready to print.
So I'm just gonna take the ink and spread it evenly,... like peanut butter.
And so I'm gonna do my first pull.
(screen scraping) (critter gasping) All right,... now let's see what it looks like.
- Oh,... Whoa!
- And that's how I make a poster.
- Do you think I can make a poster?
- I know you can.
Bye, Albie.
Bye, Jay.
I hope you find the owner of the hat.
(elevator doors sliding) (Albie excited gasping) - Posters are cool!
They're colorful, and have messages on them.
Things like, "There's a fair coming to town this weekend."
- [Jay] Or like, "Starting a band, looking for a drummer."
(Albie amused chuckling) - We should make a poster to let all of our neighbors know we found this hat.
- Great idea.
I've got some markers and some paper in my fix it bag.
I'll write the words.
You draw the picture.
- Poster time!
♪ Poster time ♪ ♪ It's poster time ♪ ♪ Poster time ♪ ♪ It's poster time ♪ ♪ What ♪ (background electronic warbling) - What do you think the poster should say?
- We should say that we found a hat.
- Nice.
What else?
- Uh,...
The hat is in the elevator.
- Perfect.
- And I can draw a picture underneath, and add some pizzazz.
- Ooh, pizzazz!
(background horn melody trumpeting) - Stickers, please.
- Stickers, pizzazz, bam!
- Mmm, green crayon, please.
- Green crayon pizzazz.
Yeah!
- Right there.
- Oh, yeah.
- A little bit on that side... And then... Oh, oh, oh!
Rainbow marker, please.
- Rainbow marker pizzazz!
- Oh, yeah.
(Jay chuckling) (Albie chuckling) (friends gasping) (background fanfare trumpeting) ♪ Dun da da da dun dun da ♪ It is finished.
- [Jay] "Lost hat found in Albie's elevator looking for the owner."
And there's a fun sticker, and a drawing of the missing hat.
- Now anyone who gets on the elevator will see it.
- Ooo, idea.
What if we made posters for the whole building?
(Albie gasping) - Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
- Oh, yeah.
- [Friends] Huggy Pepper!
(background hinge creaking) (Huggy Pepper warbling) - Huggy Pepper, we want to make some posters super fast.
Could you play us a song?
(Huggy Pepper chirping) (upbeat background tune riffing) - Hey, everybody.
- Hey!
- You know, we all need a little help sometimes.
- Okay.
- And when we help our neighbors, we create friendships, and we build a strong community.
Let's sing a song about working together, and helping out our neighbors.
Are you ready?
- Yeah.
- Let's do it.

(Albie discouraged groaning) (distant elevator bell chiming) - Hello there, dears.
I lost my favorite hat the other day,... and I saw this poster.
Oh, hello there.
Albie, do you have my hat?
- We do, we do!
- [Fern] Oh, well it looks just like the one in this poster.
It's green, and has a round brim.
I have missed it more than, more than anyone can possibly imagine.
- Wow,... that's a lot.
- Yeah.
- Uh, I drew that.
(distant Fern gasping) - You're kidding.
You drew this?
Well, that's miraculous.
You are quite an artist.
There should be a piece of tape with my name on the inside.
"Fern."
- It's nice to see you, Fern.
- There it is!
There it is!
"Fern."
We found the head!
We found the head for the hat!
We found the head for the hat!
- Oh, yay!
(group cheering) (celebratory background melody chiming) - [Announcer] Hat found!
- Thank you both so much.
This hat means a lot to me.
If I didn't see this poster, I may not have found it.

(lips puckering) (background bell chiming) - We did it!
- We did it!
We got the hat back on the right head!
(Albie giggling) Whoo.
Fern was happy to get their hat back.
It felt good to help, and it was fun to make posters.
- Oh, Albie, I have a surprise for you.
(Albie gasping) (Jay tongue rolling) - Another hat!

- My hat.
Or maybe it's a giant oatmeal cookie.
(Albie excited squealing) (Jay noisy vocalizing) - A big cookie to feed a hungry gorilla.
- Or a base of a banjo.
(Jay beatboxing) - Or, or an ancient treasure map.
- Oh, or a baseball glove.

- Or, or, or a frisbee.
- Yeah.

I can see now.
- Oh, that's a good one.

I'm happy you're here.

- [Tibitz] Mmmm.

- Elevator buttons ready?
- [Tibitz] Elevator buttons are colorful, shiny, and activated.

(critters chattering) - [Tibitz] Pep talk, words are powerful, use them.
- Huh.

Today is the big elevator talent show.
All my friends are gonna do a special talent, and everyone's gonna watch.
I've been practicing... ♪ Dun duna da ♪ magic tricks.

Why isn't this trick working?
Next trick,... watch me pull this colorful ribbon out of thin air.

Huh?

But why would you do this?
Don't show them where it is.
(Albie discouraged groaning) Oh, what am I gonna do?
None of my tricks are working.
I feel,...
I feel,... (Albie exasperated grumbling) (distant elevator bell chiming) (upbeat background melody trilling) - Water all the plants, check.
Ah,...
Happy talent show day.
How is everyone?
(Albie frustrated grumbling) - Is that a magic word for your tricks, like, alakazam?
- The talent show is canceled.
I'm not doing it.
- What do you mean?
I was excited to see your talent.
Is everything okay?
- None of my tricks are working.
One trick made me feel... (Albie sad humming) and another trick made me feel.
(Albie grumbling) And so then it felt... (Albie exasperated groaning) - Those are a lot of different sounds.
What are some words about how you're feeling?
- Hmm, uh, I don't even know the words to say.
- You really don't want to do the talent show?
- [Albie] I do, but not when I feel... (Albie upset vocalizing) - I think I know someone who might be able to help.
Can you hit that button, please?
- You got it.
(background mechanical whirring) - [Tibitz] Jolly mode activated, Albie.

- [Tibitz] Turbo spinners spinning.

I'm Rosie, and this is my friend Albie.
- The great Albienie.
- We're trying to think of some ways to express our feelings.
- Yeah, I'm feeling... (Albie upset grumbling) - I think we can find some words for those feelings.
- Really?
- Absolutely.
Being able to express yourself is one of the things I love most about poetry.
- Huh?
What's poetry?
- Poetry is the art of using words to express how we feel.
Can I show you what I mean?
- Yes.
- When I write a poem, I like to be inspired by my senses.
That's what I see, hear, taste, touch, and smell.
I especially like to notice color.
Ooo, like this green ribbon.
When I see the color green, I feel happy.
What else is around here?
(whimsical background melody chiming) Check out this rainbow whisk.
Now these rainbow colors make me feel kind of fancy.
Ooo,... Look at this silver disco ball.
Silver makes me feel kind of excited.
(whimsical background melody chiming) Hmm.
Check out this yellow banana.
Color yellow makes me feel kind of shy.
You know, sometimes when I'm looking for a little extra inspiration, I pull out these paint chips from the hardware store.
This blue makes me feel kind of dreamy.
(whimsical background melody chiming) There...
When I finish writing a poem, I like to read it out loud.
It's a chance to feel my feelings through my body.
Sometimes I recite a poem alone, and sometimes I read it to a friend.
Hey, can I share my poem with you?
Sometimes I feel like a happy green ribbon, an excited silver disco ball, a shy yellow banana,... a fancy rainbow whisk, a dreamy blue paint chip.
Sometimes I feel like me.
Thanks.

Um,... Today, I, um, uh,... - [Tibitz] You can do it, Albie.
(Huggy Pepper chirping) Hmmm,...
Okay, I was going to be doing magic tricks, but they weren't working.
So, now I'll be doing a poem I wrote about my feelings.
(soft drum beats tapping) This morning I was feeling sad.
Like a little sad, lumpy ball of stuff that sounds like (Albie humming) (soft drum beats tapping) And then I felt angry.
Like when your face gets all scrunched up and hot, like,... (Albie agitated grumbling) Then I felt nervous about everything.
Like if a million butterflies were tickling my inside, like,... (Albie anxious warbling) I felt... (Albie disgusted grumbling) But I really felt sad, angry, and nervous.
(soft drum beats tapping) Now, I feel happy.
Happy that I made a poem for the first time.
Happy that I found the words for my feelings.
Happy.
(soft drum beats tapping) I thank you.
I thank you.
(audience cheering) (cheerful background tune warbling) - That was wonderful.
Those were some great feeling words.
