When New Jersey legalized sports gambling, supporters on one side said the new industry would create jobs and bring in millions of dollars of state revenue, while detractors bemoaned the increased risks of gambling addiction. At a joint hearing in Trenton on Thursday, it appeared that both sides were correct.
