Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(gentle music) - Being Me, Careers Behind the Camera, is a workshop series that teaches high school girls how to operate film equipment by making a short documentary.
Sara, Francesca, and Loraina created short documentaries about something they learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
(gentle music) - My school has let kids choose whether they want to be in school for four days a week or stay at home the whole time.
My English teacher tells us a lot that he definitely does work better when he can see the kids face to face and he is interacting with them.
Some of the teachers do attendance really weird.
If you don't participate in class, they won't give you credit for the day.
So that's also kind of a pain for the kids because it's like, I was there, I was listening, but it could have been a technical issue or it could have been anything, really.
But if you're there and you don't participate when they call on you, it's really frustrating when they're like, "I'm going to have to mark you absent "just because you didn't hear me "or one of our connection was really bad."
I think I really liked going hybrid just 'cause it would give me time during the week to not necessarily relax, but I wouldn't have to wake up so early or I wouldn't have to bear missing the bus or rush or whatever.
So that was really nice.
