A new purpose for a historic school in Scranton

The James Madison School in Scranton's Hill Section opened in 1928. It would later become East Scranton Intermediate School, East Scranton Junior High, and finally close its doors in 2001. A real estate developer, a university and an early-childhood learning center decided that this building on the National Register of Historic Places wasn't done serving the community just yet.
