25-year-old Sojourner Ahebee began writing poetry after moving to the U.S. from Côte D'Ivoire, West Africa. Ahebee concluded, “I really have things to say and things to express as a young person.” She has performed throughout the world, including the White House for Michelle Obama. Ahebee recites “Birth.”
