Lou began his classical piano studies with Max Koffs and Sarah Freed in Philadelphia, starting at the age of 9 and continuing throughout college. After receiving his BA from Temple University, he continued classical studies with Michelle Wilt at the Aalcroze School of Music in New York City. Lou worked as a freelance musician for over 40 years.
