Providing Support for PBS.org
Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- I love people and kids.
The more humans, the more beautiful the world is.
I have learned, I love nature.
I love happiness.
I could be annoying, giggly, friendly, kind, a handful.
(upbeat music) Like a lot of times every day feels like my favorite day.
Like if it's sunny, like it is outside right now.
Like the more the sun bright is up, the more like beautiful it is.
Bright colors, it reminds me of spring or summer.
If you're having a boring day or like you're feeling down, looking at a bright color could really help you.
I have epilepsy.
I guess cause of my seizures, it takes away my memory.
Like it'll take away good and bad memories.
So I guess it took away so much negativity.
Like every day I felt like I was born again, again, every time I had a seizure, so it's like I learned something new every day.
Helping others help me look on the bright side.
I love seeing people happy cause it makes me happy.
My first career was supposed to be singing.
I really wanted to like perform and sing but I have a VNS which is called Vagus nerve stimulator and to control my seizures and doctors lied saying there was no side effects and it ruined it.
I'm not sure, like I was just thinking like I could go to school and while I'm learning so many new things there, maybe something might come up on my mind.
Something that I never learned before, something that can involve helping other people.
I got this kind of heart like if I see someone else hurt, it would hurt me too.
And a lot of people be asking me, how do you feel that way?
You don't know that person?
And I just answered like, because my daddy taught me like and also it's probably a spirit that God gave me.
You could be a stranger.
You could be far away from another country is like if I see you hurt, It just touches me.
I'm a daddy's girl.
My whole life I didn't see my daddy really.
Cause my mom was controlling and kept me away from him.
But I knew with my heart, like he was out there.
He taught me about love, kindness, like how to help other people and like so much.
I never had anyone support me like that.
And that's all I wanted in my life.
He taught me like, well, love, love covers everything that money can't do.
I was being bullied.
It kind of turned me into a bully too.
Really my grandma, she caught me.
She helped me realize that cursing, teasing other people, doesn't lead you to nowhere about trouble.
And luckily she helped me become a better person.
So if you're out there getting teased or bullied or being called names, just remember this, stand up to those people.
Like instead of bullying back, trying to stick to their level, have a good listening ear and understandable hearts because you're brave.
You're wise.
You're special in your own way.
I'm in a shelter now cause I just got outta a toxic relationship last year.
So one of the things I'm proud of, I left that.
It was really hard but worth it.
The Broad Street Ministry is a beautiful place.
It really helps me.
They're so sweet and friendly here and helpful.
They have food, clothes, your mouth like I'm really blessed and thankful.
My goal is like to get my own place.
Cause it's been like so long.
I've been homeless in and out.
Like go to college, help other people and hopefully one day in the future I could find the right person like have a family.
It's like so much.
Really wanna help who's out there.
Like I just wanna see people happy and I don't want people to go through the same thing as I went through.
